The Bros recap week 1 around the NFL which kicked off with the Patriots, and Drake Maye specifically, falling completely apart in Seattle in the 4th quarter. We dive into several games in the NFL and CFB that peaked our interest and what the team needs to do in week 2 to get back on track. The Red Sox continue to tread water and matchup with the Yankees at the stadium seems inevitable at this point. We discuss the pitching rotation and how Payton Tolle has become the most likeable athlete in Boston. Our first legit Celtics and Bruins minutes in quite some time return as updates for both teams are provided, and we end with OH-YA/YA-OH and The PIKE

The Boston Sports Bros return on the eve of the NFL football season kicking off and fresh off their fantasy football draft for episode 103! We start with discussion around the Patriots getting the contract situation with Christian Gonzalez resolved and look ahead to the Superbowl rematch against Seattle in the NFL kickoff game. We dive into the first week of college football where Western Michigan got hosed, UMASS pulled off an insane upset, and BC continues to underperform and underwhelm. The Red Sox are coming down the stretch where every game is important for positioning in the standings and we touch on the Bruins handing out a new contract to young centerman Fraser Minten. In OH-YA/YA-OH the marijuana theme takes charge with the allegations surrounding Steve Belichick and people lighting up at the US Open. We preview the week ahead on the PIKE. 

The Bros recap the Red Sox poor series in New York and the implications it has as they head towards September baseball. We also get into the football preseason wrapping up, where things stand on the Christian Gonzalez deal and what we're looking forward to with the season kicking off next week. College football has begun and we preview the first full week of games and discuss Belichick squeaking out a win across the pond. Jaylen Brown had a going away party and we now hope everybody can move on and understand he plays for the enemy now, and wouldn't you believe it, a TENNIS minute on the show as the GOAT Roger Federer is inducted in the HOF and the US Open is underway in Queens. 

Big E & Plotty are joined by David Creed, reporter for the Nantucket Current, which covers ALL things going on related to the Island. Our conversation with David ranged from discussing how the Current has become the main news source for the island and some of the behind the scenes of how it came to be. How High School sports works on Nantucket and why there's a big homefield advantage for the Whalers. Why professional athletes and coaches find their way to the island for retreats from reality (and some fun stories from the Chicken Box) and how recreational sports (Swimming, Surfing, Biking, Running, Pickleball, Tennis, Etc) are huge parts of the community. We also conduct our first lightning round in a while talking best places to watch a game, eat, and grab a drink on island.

It's a BIG ONE for the Boston Sports Bros, our 100th episode has arrived and we have a very special episode looking back at two years of shows and recounting some of our favorite memories and times we've had throughout the course of the show. We do begin with Around Town diving into the Patriots preseason game against the Colts and look ahead to joint practices and game 2 against the Eagles. We also get into the Red Sox who have come back down to earth after their hot stretch and discuss how they navigate the final stretch of the season. In a very special OH-YA & YA-OH segment we go thru the first 100 episodes and some of our favorite OH-YA's and YA-OH's from them. We recount some amazing behind the scenes moments with our guests, discuss our friendship outside the podcast and in true BSB fashion, give a few summer restaurant recommendations to hit before the calendar turns to fall.

We kick things off with the Jaylen Brown trade to Philadelphia and the multiple angles of impact on the Celtics as they move forward. We dive into the world cup where the finals is almost set and the embarrassing finish to the USA run. The Patriots kick off training camp next week and we begin to discuss the storylines heading into the NFL season. In OH-YA/YA-OH we bash VAR and the controversy it's created at the world cup and give Nantucket and Tall Ships in Boston some love for the summer time fun they're bringing. 

The Boston Sports Bros return for a 4th of July week episode where we discuss the latest regarding the world cup and how the round of 32 has progressed so far and what the USA needs to do to advance in their game on Wednesday. The Celtics DO NOT end up with Giannis and are now in a precarious situation with Jaylen Brown and figuring out what to do with him moving forward. The Red Sox sweep the Yankees and for the first time all season have some positive momentum on their side as they're 8-2 in their last 10. The Bruins made a trade, acquiring JJ Peterka for 2 first round picks, we discuss his potential impact and other moves that need to be made. In OH-YA/YA-OH we touch on a great Vegas story from a trip last week and reminisce about the famous Golden Temple where the Boston Sports Bros originated and it's unfortunate closing.
